So I was checking out a list of random occurances of spoonerism. If you don’t know what it means, here’s the def:
spoonerism
spoon·er·ism [sp?n? rìzz?m] (plural spoon·er·isms) noun
accidental verbal error: an accidental transposition of initial consonant sounds or parts of words, especially one that has an amusing result, for example, “half-warmed fish†for “half-formed wishâ€
[Early 20th century. Named for the British educator Reverend William Spooner, (1844–1930), who was known for such transpositions.]

Human tissues that may not have been screened for diseases like HIV/AIDS and hepatitis are being voluntarily recalled in Georgia, Texas and Florida, the Food and Drug Administration said Thursday.
What the hell? Why are human tissues being transferred around? Why is it managed by the Food and Drug administration?

A recent study conducted concluded that women who are more successful (financially and socially) are less likely to marry (and procreate). That study hypothesized that this is because men are insecure with marrying their superiors, and are more prone to marrying their subordinates, or those who care for them (flight attendants, secretaries, etc).
Aren’t successful people generally smarter (or more clever), or otherwise more fit for the world, than unsuccessful people? Isn’t this against evolution? What’s wrong with the world? This needs to be corrected before all the smart genes disappear!
I don’t know… maybe impose a law that says if your IQ is

At least seven children have died and 37 injured in a stampede at a primary school in south-western China.
The incident occurred as the children were streaming down a staircase after Tuesday’s evening classes in the Sichuan province, state media said.
Local press reports say that the stampede began when some children shouted “Ghosts are coming!” on the darkened staircase.
What… the… hell… And that’s in China too. I didn’t think China celebrated halloween. Guess I was wrong.
For those of you who read about Wang Lung in the Good Earth, this happened in Sichuan province. Does that sound familiar?

So I was catching up on Scarlet Letter. I’m finally up to chapter 15! I need 7 more pages of DJs too.
And I stumbled upon this quote, which I know you (the audience) would find interesting: “Her bosoms were no longer the pillows of passion…”
I need 7 more pages of DJs… might as well do one on this. Here we go:
Pillow is a tangible noun, and passion is an abstract concept/noun, so the phrase “pillows of passion” as a whole is the tangible noun (”pillow”) symbolizing the abstract noun (”passion”).
And when the phrase is used in conjunction with the tangible (hah, tangible means “able to be touched” literally) noun “bosom”, which is often used to symbolize the character’s inner emotions, indicates that Hester, the novel’s protagonist, is deterioriating.
So, you think Jankowski will accept it?
tangible
tan·gi·ble [tánj?b’l] adjective
1.able to be touched: able to be touched or perceived through the sense of touch
•a tangible coldness
2.actual: capable of being understood and evaluated, and therefore regarded as real
•There is no tangible evidence to support this claim.
3.able to be realized: capable of being given a physical existence
•some very tangible financial benefits
noun (plural tan·gi·bles)
something tangible: something that has a physical form, especially a financial asset (often used in the plural)
[Late 16th century. Directly or via French, from late Latin tangibilis, “that may be touched,†from Latin tangere, (see TANGENT).]
—tan·gi·bil·i·ty [tà nj? bÃll?tee], noun
—tan·gi·ble·ness [tánj?b’ln?ss], noun
—tan·gi·bly [tánj?blee], adverb

Pro means for something.
Con means against something.
If constitution means against “arbitrary rule of law”, then what does prostitution mean?
I realized this similarity when I was discussing my dyslexia. Institution, constitution etc are hard to type and write. So anyway, let’s dissect the words!
If pro is for something, then PROstitution must mean for “arbitrary rule of law”. Oh the english language amaze me.
Real definition of prostitution and constitution:
Prostitution: misuse of talent for gain: the use of a skill or ability in a way that is considered unworthy, usually for financial gain
Constitution: statement of fundamental laws: a written statement outlining the basic laws or principles by which a country or organization is governed
Word etymologies doesn’t exist for either in my dictionary… Anyway, as you can tell, I’m “studying” for the history midterm exam

Loves to joke. Attractive. Suave and caring. Brave and fearless.Firm and has leadership qualities. Knows how to console others. Too generous and egoistic. Takes high pride of oneself. Thirsty for praises. Extraordinary spirit. Easily angered. Angry when provoked. Easily jealous. Observant. Careful and cautious. Thinks quickly. Independent thoughts. Loves to lead and to be led. Loves to dream. Talented in the arts, music and defense. Sensitive but not petty. Poor resistance against illnesses. Learns to relax. Hasty and trusty. Romantic. Loving and caring. Loves to make friends
39852 other people got this result!
This quiz has been taken 469516 times.
8% of people had this result.
8%? Pff, isn’t 1/12 ~ 8%? (8.3-bar% actually)
Too general. And kinda contradictory.
- “Careful and cautious. Thinks quickly.”
Cautious implies that the person takes time to make a smart decision. Thinks quickly and cautiously? Yet might be a better conjunction.
- “Loves to lead and to be led.”
What don’t I love then?
It’s too damn repetitive and redundant.
Suave? XD Romantic? Brave and fearless? Firm and has leadership qualities? Too egoistic? Easily jealous? >_> Ok, the last two and a few may be true to some degree, but as I said, they’re too general.
Link’s on topic. Go take it. I found it on Katherine’s xanga btw.

Its Albert again.
Anyway, I want to post this band up here not because Jinghao loves bands or anything, but rather I think the world ought to know about their idiotic ways of thinking.
ABC ran a documentary on Primetime yesterday about this band Prussian Blue. You can go ahead and click the link to learn more about the kids, I’ll just rant and vent the basics here.
The band Prussian Blue, you can download their music off their website, is a white supremacist band. If you don’t know what that is (and if you don’t know, you better wake up soon) is that they want an entire society full of white people. Asians, Blacks, Blues, Browns and whatever other color in the world is in their eyes, crap and a hamper on society.
And what’s even lovelier (sarcasm) is that these blue-eyed, Hitler-admiring girls are not even in their teens yet. They are home schooled by their mom who claims that the Roman Empire fell because of too many cultures intermingling together and that everyone is basically a racist. They even wear yellow (HA THE HYPOCRISY!) shirts with Hitler’s face in them.
There was even this one guy who was like:
“These girls are a model of who we want our children to be”
WTF.
Interesting what goes on in Post-civil war south these days. I bet those people think they won the civil war still. (The whites at least)
Now, I want you to imagine. We live in Almaden Valley and the only people you see are Asians. How boring would that be? Very, in my big brown eyes thank you very much.
On another thought, I would love to debate diversity with these guys in a parli round. Point of Informations would be sooo fricken fun. I would have their tongues hanging out promoting Hitler.
Thoughts Jinghao?
Note - This is not the scientific Prussian Blue.

Pointless Provocation in Tokyo
Fresh from an election that showcased him as a modernizing reformer, Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi of Japan has now made a point of publicly embracing the worst traditions of Japanese militarism. Yesterday he made a nationally televised visit to a memorial in central Tokyo called the Yasukuni Shrine. But Yasukuni is not merely a memorial to Japan’s 2.5 million war dead. The shrine and its accompanying museum promote an unapologetic view of Japan’s atrocity-scarred rampages through Korea, much of China and Southeast Asia during the first few decades of the 20th century. Among those memorialized and worshiped as deities in an annual festival beginning this week are 14 Class A war criminals who were tried, convicted and executed.
The shrine visit is a calculated affront to the descendants of those victimized by Japanese war crimes, as the leaders of China, Taiwan, South Korea and Singapore quickly made clear. Mr. Koizumi clearly knew what he was doing. He has now visited the shrine in each of the last four years, brushing aside repeated protests by Asian diplomats and, this time, an adverse judgment from a Japanese court.
No one realistically worries about today’s Japan re-embarking on the road of imperial conquest. But Japan, Asia’s richest, most economically powerful and technologically advanced nation, is shedding some of the military and foreign policy restraints it has observed for the past 60 years.
This is exactly the wrong time to be stirring up nightmare memories among the neighbors. Such provocations seem particularly gratuitous in an era that has seen an economically booming China become Japan’s most critical economic partner and its biggest geopolitical challenge.
Mr. Koizumi’s shrine visits draw praise from the right-wing nationalists who form a significant component of his Liberal Democratic Party. Instead of appeasing this group, Mr. Koizumi needs to face them down, just as he successfully faced down the party reactionaries who opposed his postal privatization plan. It is time for Japan to face up to its history in the 20th century so that it can move honorably into the 21st.
My words apparently mean nothing. Now let’s get an official editor’s opinion.

TOKYO, Oct 17 (Reuters) - In a step sure to outrage China and South Korea, Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi was to pay homage on Monday at a shrine for war dead seen by critics as a symbol of Japan’s past militarism.
Japan’s relations with its Asian neighbours have already chilled because of Koizumi’s annual visits to Tokyo’s Yasukuni shrine, where war criminals convicted by a 1948 Allied tribunal are honoured
